PEDDLER BOOKING POLICY

Some of you may have noticed that we have changed our booking policy for Petit Peddler. Every Peddler event has been free entry since our very first street party on Arundel Street and Peddler remains a free event, and this is an important principle for us. However we have now taken the step to ask for card details when you book.  These details are taken as a retainer, simply to protect us from cancellations and we will be retaining a £5 per person cancellation fee if you cancel within 24 hours of the event.  If you attend the event as planned, there will be no charge.

We want to explain to you all why we have made this change.  Since we re-opened on July 4th we are having to provide you a very different style of event. COVID-19 has been a huge challenge for Peddler (each weekend we operate at 20% of our normal capacity) and making this type of an event work financially, whilst trying our best to remain true to the spirit of Peddler has been difficult. Like many hospitality businesses, we have suffered with ongoing no-shows. We do a pretty good job at replacing these bookings with walk-in customers but as we approach the difficult winter months we expect there to be less opportunity to do so.

This will be a difficult winter for us all in the industry. We know that our friends in the industry are struggling with the sheer scale and frequency of cancellations as well.  Please, help your favourite Sheffield businesses get through this crisis.
